MPBT: EGA Round Tables - Bug Reports and Hints & Tips, Part IV

The fourth set of EGA GEnie Round Tables for Bug Reports and Hints & Tips are now available.

A player quote about the state of each House, pulled from the Hints & Tips:

In my moving around the Sphere (I feel like a member of Wolf's Dragoons... always finding a new House to check out), I've seen a lot of variety in the Houses but all of them have their advantages and disadvantages. To all the newbies who read this (and want my virtually worthless opinion), I'd make the following suggestions as to the Houses at present:

3025 Mech Selection - Stalkers

More screenshots of the 'mech selection options as archived by Futurelooks from the public beta of 3025 (EA version) back when.

These screenshots are of the selection screen for each of the three types of Stalker that were available in the EA version of MPBT:3025.

MPBT: Solaris - Tactical Paper

Below is a tactical paper written by Davion staff near the end of Solaris. This was in preparation for 3025, assuming the game mechanics would be relatively unchanged.

As the Unseen 'mechs weren't available in the EA version of 3025, this document had no specific value for 3025.

I know Steiner had a similar series of tactical documents compiled starting very early in Solaris (AOL release). I think all Houses were working on them (and/or intercepted other Houses' tactical information) at one point or another.

Skippy's Fern Bar, Part V

Another piece of Skippy's Fern Bar, the in-character roleplaying forums on GameStorm for MPBT: Solaris is now available.

The fleet amassed in orbit of Terra, as the swarm of Dropships, and single, ominous-looking WarShip approached to attack. A huge force of ComStar, Federated Sun, Lyran Commenwealth, and Draconis Combine AeroTech fighters flew out, as the opening wave to slow down the Hell's Horeseman advance. The mammoth HH Dropships turned their powerful weapons arrays on them, taking
down a sizeable chunk of the small fighters. Then, they launched their own.

3025 Promotional Video

This promotional video for the EA version of MPBT:3025 was created as part of the marketing plan for Gencon 2001. The video captures were from the internal beta test.

GEnie Livewire - MPBT: EGA promotion

From the September, 1993 issue of the GEnie e-zine, Livewire:

Row, Row, Row Your 'Bot

Do monster trucks, tractor pulls and demolition derbies crank you up? Well, GEnie has the toy for you. A five-story, 80-ton metal robot armed with a lethal array of rockets, lasers, and auto cannon.

The giant trash compacter is a BattleMech, and the game is Kesmai's MultiPlayer BattleTech (MPBT).
