Going back and reading some
Going back and reading some of my posts - it's like looking at yourself in a High School yearbook. Some of my writing was just abysmal!
Still, 12 years later and I've never found a game, never found a community that so gripped me like MPBT. It was truly one of a kind.

Going Back
I agree 100%. It to bad someone does not re-release MPBT to a new generation of Mechwarriors. I am sure there is a large community if given the opportunity to try this game would love it. I have played other versions of this game (Mechwarrior series- sure they looked great but the game play was not as good...in my humble opinion). MPBT just seemed to have it right. I could play this game for hours and I mean hours lol and it would hold my interst. Battletech had the right amount of emotion and pace to make it a very fun game to play. It would be great if someone could post the hacked ".cgi launch file to alllow single player to drop into Solaris". Would love to see this game run again even if it was just off-line mode (wipes tears from eyes). In closing I think when they shut this game down it left a wound on any true Mechwarrior's soul that cannot be healed until MPBT is up and running again. Hawk

Well my name it Ito Ogami and I am a blast from the past. Most have never heard of me, but I started playing this game when it was in EGA. Yes EGA, you know 300 Baud....well maybe you have never heard of 300 baud. Our mechs ran hot and our tempers ran hotter. Most Leaders thought they could run the world but they were full of it. I for one ran for the House known as Marik and I thought we could rule Ega. Back then it was much easier.
We "the few" who played EGA back in the day are all but a memory. New hotshots could blow us into nothing these days. But back in the day we were the shit. I for one ran in my Banshee 3s, it's name was Tsunami and I never lost her in battle. Hell only lost 3 Tsunami's in times of war as the Captain General of House Marik.
You see, I was the Captain General of my great house for over 3 years. I was in charge of 3000 active members of my house. I am proud to say that in my three years as the Captain General we never lowered our flag in battle.
With my Generals, Grendel the hated, Tequila the drunk, Tansy the fire, Fire-stater the flame, and the rest of those loyal members of our House we never lost a war.
To those that knew those wars, I (retired)Captain General Ito Ogami am here, maybe a bit more grey, but I am here.
To all those member that have passed Marik and not, YO.....Ito is here.......
BTW, skippy if your out there, bud, you sucked, but I miss ya...LOL Yarmoor you and your lizard brain was too fucking funny.....BTW, if yu do not know what I am talking about, well, you were not there. So play that piano and put on the Viking helmet and have some fun!
